We have a care nursery area to carry out routine check-ups or procedures required by babies or mothers after birth.
From the delivery room, we promote immediate bonding, making skin-to-skin contact between the newborn and the mother to improve adaptation to the extrauterine environment. Later, the baby goes directly to the room with her mother, in rooming-in, to promote breastfeeding. The only time the baby is detached from her mother is to take a bath the day after her birth.
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is for cases of pathological newborns.
Our pediatricians are certified in neonatal resuscitation for the care of a healthy child, and neonatologists have advanced training in the care of newborns (especially those who are premature or high risk).
