In the Intensive Care Unit, we provide specialized care to seriously ill patients who suffer from organ failure and are at risk of losing their lives.

At the hospital, our Intensive Care Unit is a polyvalent type, that is, we treat there highly complex cases from all hospital services: Medical Emergencies, Internal Medicine, Pneumology, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Gynecology, Obstetrics, among others.

We currently have 4 independent cubicles to take care of the patient’s privacy. These are equipped with human resources, materials, and the most exclusive technology in the region, such as state-of-the-art multiparametric monitoring systems, with haemodynamic non-invasive monitoring and invasive monitoring, for example PiCCO, pulmonary artery catheterization, for patients with cardiovascular disorders.

The medical staff is highly specialized in various sub-areas of Critical Care Medicine and with valid certifications. The work team is complemented by competent nursing staff with experience in the area, as well as other types of multidisciplinary support (respiratory therapy and physical rehabilitation), to provide patients with prompt and timely care.

Each patient is connected to a system called telemetry, so that the medical and nursing staff can carry out continuous monitoring of vital signs. If necessary, Hospital H+ has the possibility of providing treatment with highly specialized biomedical equipment, the only one in the state, which includes an intermittent hemodialysis machine, PRISMA-Flex continuous renal replacement therapies, and MARS-type liver support therapies.

In the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), we monitor and treat in a timely manner patients at risk of suffering systemic failure and requiring greater hospital support due to medical or surgical clinical conditions.

Our mission is to provide humane and high-quality care to restore previous health conditions and avoid, as far as possible, the suffering of critically ill patients and their families. Head of Intensive and Intermediate Care Unit
